SHAWtrack and GAP Beating the Credit Crunch

Nottinghamshire based SHAWtrack is an outfit with many strings to its bow.  The company is widely known as one of the leading manufacturers and designers of bespoke bodies and crane lorries, more recently the company has branched out and now offers long term and short term self drive hire of vehicles from 7.5 tonnes up to 44 tonnes - and for longer term hire - SHAWhire will build bespoke specification vehicle for the customers hire needs.  SHAWhire has recently purchased 200 new vehicles, including 40 Isuzus and 160 Renaults to expand its hire fleet.  A long-term client of ShawTrack is the UKs largest independent plant and tool hire company - Gap - the Glasgow depot of the company spend upwards of £400K a year with SHAWtrack, mostly on purchasing vehicles to Gaps specification from 7.5 tonne up to 26 tonne for delivering plant and tools.  Gaps Bobby Allan said, "The plant hire industry is still busy despite the current downturn, which is why we continue to purchase new vehicles.  We have worked with ShawTrack for several years now and they always design and supply everything to our exact specification - we outline what we want and they just get on and do it." 

 

 Gap Specification - Iveco Stralis AB260S31 with a low profile beavertail body installed 9.1m long with hydraulic double flip ramps, hydraulic winch and an Atlas 120.A2 crane – the payload is 1362kg.
