£371.00 raised for Movember

barbarians

Congratulations to Glenn Gibson, Dean Piddock and Jono Bowler for raising £371.00 for the leading charity for mens health, www.uk.movember.com/about/foundation. Each of them had to fight hard with their wives and girlfriends to persuade them, the tash rash was worth it!

Movember started in 2003 in Australia!

Two friends decided to talk their mates into growing a Mo. Inspired by a friend’s mother who was fundraising for breast cancer, they decided to make the campaign about men’s health and prostate cancer. They designed the rules of Movember (which are still in place today)

Those first 30 Mo Bros grew their moustaches with such enthusiasm that in 2004 a decision was made to formalise the concept and get all participants growing for a cause. The guys researched men’s health issues and agreed to formally support prostate cancer as their cause. They now also support Testicular cancer and Mens mental health and suicide prevention.

from the small start 16 years ago they have grown to 21 countries and raised over £380 million.
